El tecnoarcade és un projecte obert multidisciplinari que consisteix en crear una màquina de arcade retro a mida real.
El projecte es va dur a terme durant els primers mesos del 2016. En aquest van participar alumnes de Enginyeria informàtica, disseny de videojocs i mitjans audiovisuals. Aquest alumnes es van dividir en diversos grups de treball:
Els programadors, van crear una Interface que s’inicia amb el Windows. La idea inicial va ser posar un emulador de màquines recreatives retro, però els programadors van anar més enllà i van crear un menú extra per importar els projectes del grau de videojocs, i van crear un joc de naus.
Els enginyers, tenien com a base uns plànols de la màquina i van preparar les fustes, el cablejat i tota la estructura. Van crear una toma de llum amb un diferencial i van adaptar tota la estructura per incloure un ordinador amb una pantalla de mides concretes, altaveus i fins i tot retro-il·luminació per el logotip. També van mapejar els comandaments al teclat i van incloure un moneder que accepta monedes normals i també unes pròpies que van crear.
Els artistes van idear una imatge per la màquina en tres ambients, el concepte era parlar dels videojocs a través dels temps, donant tres èpoques a la màquina. Una medieval per darrera, un contemporani per els laterals fent una dualitat entre bons i dolents, i futurista a la part frontal. Finalment van crear el logotip, i la part visual de la Interface.
Per últim l’equip de marketing van promocionar la màquina per tot arreu i van fer un seguiment (making off) de tot el projecte.
Aquest projecte com hem comentat al principi és un projecte obert I trobareu els plànols, arxius gràfics i codi per fer la vostra!
